Eyebrow Lift
An eyebrow lift is a procedure aimed at changing the position of the brow to achieve a more youthful and balanced appearance.
Essence of the Operation
Due to the aging process, some or all elements of the eyebrows can become depressed. While eyebrow correction can be part of a classic forehead lift, the indentation of the outer sides of the eyebrows can also be addressed through other methods. These methods include small incisions at the temple, directly above the eyebrows, or through blepharoplasty incisions. These techniques involve gently tightening the skin and tissues, followed by tissue removal and muscle correction. Preparation for the procedure may include a detailed medical history, physical examination, cessation of smoking, and withdrawal of antiplatelet agents and anticoagulants about a week before surgery.
Duration
The procedure takes approximately one to two hours.
Pain Relief
General or local anesthesia can be used.
Hospitalization
This is most often an outpatient procedure.
