Forehead Lift
A forehead lift, also known as plastic surgery of the upper third of the face, aims to eliminate age-related changes and smooth wrinkles in the upper third of the face and the bridge of the nose
Essence of the Operation
This procedure strengthens the muscular frame of the forehead, tightens the skin and eyebrows, and eliminates creases and overhangs of the skin in the upper eyelid area.
Duration
The operation lasts from one to two hours.
Anesthesia
The procedure can be performed under both local and general anesthesia.
Hospitalization
The operation is most often performed on an outpatient basis.

Possible Side Effects
For the classical technique:
- Itching of the scalp
- Problems with hair growth in the incision area
For endoscopic surgery:
- Swelling
- Bruising
- Headaches
- Transient ischemia (temporary impaired mobility and sensitivity in the surgical area due to postoperative edema, which resolves within six months)
Possible complications
- Damage to the motor nerves of the face, leading to loss of facial expressions, muscle weakness, facial asymmetry, and loss of sensitivity
- Sometimes wide scars and their hypertrophy
Rehabilitation Period
Patients can typically return to work within 7-10 days after surgery, and even earlier with an endoscopic lift. Bruises usually disappear after 2-3 weeks. Strenuous activities are prohibited for several weeks. For 3-6 months after surgery, patients should avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight on the surgical area to prevent hyperpigmentation of the forehead.
Results
The results of the surgery typically last for an average of 5-10 years.
