Possible Side Effects

Temporary facial swelling and bruising, particularly around the eyes and nose, along with nasal congestion and occasional bleeding.

Risks

Potential risks include infection, asymmetry, dissatisfaction with the nasal shape, or inadequate correction, which may necessitate subsequent rhinoplasty.

Rehabilitation Period

Patients are required to undergo post-operative examinations with the surgeon seven days after the procedure and as directed thereafter. Return to work is typically feasible within two to three weeks post-surgery. Physical activities should be limited during the initial recovery phase, with strenuous exercise prohibited for several months. Participation in contact sports, which pose a risk of nasal injury, is advised against for at least nine weeks post-surgery. Exposure to sunlight without adequate sunscreen application is strongly discouraged following surgery. The final assessment of rhinoplasty results is typically conducted no sooner than one year post-operation.

Results

The outcomes of rhinoplasty are typically long-lasting.
