Lipofilling
Lipofilling is a procedure for filling the areas that have lost volume with the patient’s own fat cells.
The Essence of the Operation
Lipofilling is a technique used to correct body irregularities, such as those resulting from injuries or liposuction. It can add volume to the cheeks, cheekbones, and lips, fill nasolabial folds, and enhance the area between the lower eyelid and cheek. Additionally, lipofilling can be used to rejuvenate the neck and décolleté areas. The process involves harvesting fat through liposuction via small punctures (3-5 mm in length), which is then specially processed and injected into the targeted areas.
Duration
On average, a lipofilling procedure lasts about one hour. However, the duration may vary depending on the volume of fat being transferred.
Anesthesia
The procedure is typically performed under local anesthesia.
Hospitalization
Hospitalization is not required for this procedure.

Possible Side Effects
In the donor area, typically the abdomen or inner thighs, you may experience bruising, swelling, and soreness. During the first day after the procedure, fluid leakage is likely, mainly consisting of the anesthetic solution used during liposuction. Swelling in the area treated with lipofilling, particularly after lip enhancements, tends to increase immediately following the procedure. To minimize swelling, the use of a cold compress, such as an ice pack, is recommended in the initial hours. Swelling typically peaks within the first three days before gradually subsiding. Overall, the rehabilitation period usually spans about 7-10 days.
Possible Risks
Potential risks include infection and asymmetry.
Results
The results of the procedure are long-lasting.
