Endoscopic Facelift
An endoscopic facelift involves lifting through small incisions, typically 1.5 to 2 cm in size. In a frontotemporal lift, micro-incisions are concealed within the scalp, and for mid-face lifting, they are positioned under the upper lip. This technique leaves no visible scars from the surgery.
The Essence of the Operation
This technique is one of the most advanced and minimally invasive in surgical practice, ensuring minimal trauma and a smoother rehabilitation process. The procedure is performed using an endoscope, an innovative tool that minimizes the size of the incisions.
The procedure addresses age-related changes in a three-dimensional approach. It involves not only smoothing the skin but also restoring volume, particularly in the cheekbone area. As a result, the correct positioning of the eyebrows, the corners of the eyes, and the lips is restored.
Duration
Depending on the extent of the surgery, the operation can last from one to two hours.
Anesthesia
Endoscopic lifting is a minimally traumatic procedure and can be performed under local anesthesia.
Hospitalization
Typically, the patient can be discharged home within three hours after the surgery.

Possible complications
Like any surgical procedure, endoscopic lifting carries potential complications, including infection, blood clots, allergic reactions to anesthesia, and bleeding. Therefore, it is crucial for the patient to be in good general health. This includes not having conditions such as diabetes, blood disorders like hemophilia, exacerbations of chronic diseases, or any diseases in their acute stages.
Additionally, the patient’s smoking status is an important consideration.
Possible Risks
Specific risks, such as facial nerve damage or visible scars, are significantly reduced with endoscopic lifting compared to traditional methods. However, it is important to note that this method is not suitable for removing large amounts of excess skin. As a result, it is often combined with blepharoplasty, and in cases of significant skin sagging, traditional plastic surgery may be more effective.
Rehabilitation Period
The stitches are removed 12 to 14 days after surgery. Patients should adhere to a gentle routine at home for 14 days. You may return to work after 2 to 3 weeks. Avoid exercise for a month, as well as visits to bath houses and saunas.
Recovery is accelerated if you quit smoking. The final results of the surgery can be assessed in 2 to 3 months.
Results
The results of this procedure typically last between 10 to 15 years.
