Plastic surgeon, expert in facial and body age-related architectonics
For a long time, the global age management industry was dominated by an isolated, purely anatomical approach to the face. However, modern aesthetic medicine, kinesiology, and neuroscience demonstrate that aging is not a linear biological process affecting individual zones, but a complex psychological, behavioral, and somatic phenomenon.
Analyzing the faces and proportions of patients daily in my clinical practice, I—plastic surgeon Irina Ilyinichna Sarkisyan—have reached a conclusion that extends far beyond the bounds of classical surgery. The true marker of age is not the depth of static wrinkles. Age is how you carry yourself through the world, where the face and body form an indivisible, unified system. It is impossible to rejuvenate one in isolation from the other: the face and body are interconnected, broadcasting your true biological and mental status as a single, synchronized marker.

The Psychological Threshold: Surgery as a Legitimate Tool for a “Reset”
In Dr. Sarkisyan’s practice, aesthetic requests are rarely limited to mere physical correction. Behind the decision to lie on the operating table lies almost always a profound internal crisis—a complex psychological threshold. A patient reaches a breaking point where external signs of decline come into direct conflict with their mental status.
Various tools exist for a radical life reset. One might pivot entirely, buy a one-way ticket to another country, and completely rebuild their business, daily life, and social circle. But for many of my patients, altering the face’s architectonics and restoring body tone serves as a far more powerful, intimate starting point.
When internal drive, ambition, the capacity for grand visions, and the desire to dress stylishly remain intact, but the morning mirror reflects a “tired” appearance, a destructive cognitive dissonance emerges. This imbalance blocks personal and professional effectiveness. In this context, plastic surgery functions not as a concession to superficial fashion, but as a vehicle for integrating the internal self with external appearance. Correcting the physical markers of aging resolves this mental deficit, restoring the psychological resources needed for life expansion.

The Non-Verbal Code of Age: The Synergy of Face and Body
One can surgically recreate an ideal facial contour, but if the face conflicts with a fatigued, tense body, visual rejuvenation will not occur. Our perception of another’s age is holistic. As I frequently emphasize during consultations: the face and body are a single canvas, and it is the body as a whole—your posture and kinetics—that serves as an uncompromising indicator of your true age.
How you sit, walk, and position yourself in space is read subconsciously by those around you and business partners within fractions of a second. This unified marker consists of three key elements:
-
Structural Body Architectonics: Slumped shoulders, neck hypertonicity (“text neck”), and a heavy gait visually add a decade to a person, completely negating the work of the most talented maxillofacial surgeon. The face does not exist independently from the shoulder line and spinal alignment.
-
Behavioral Patterns: The way a person enters a room, sits, and holds their head during negotiations reveals their biological and mental age far more accurately than passport data. Youth is the freedom of movement throughout the entire body, not merely the absence of wrinkles.
-
Physical Expression: A confident, open posture and a light gait represent the physical expression of readiness to assert oneself, convey strength and vitality, and command the room.

The Synergy of Medicine and Willpower: Dr. Sarkisyan’s Manifesto
Physiology and psychosomatics are inseparable.
An age-related crisis and the burden of accumulated responsibility often cause a person to physically “shrink,” which immediately impacts the spine, movement patterns, and, consequently, facial tissue tone. Within the body, everything is linked through unified fascial and muscular chains.
This is precisely why true rejuvenation is always a high-tech synergy. My role as an aesthetic surgeon is to resolve anatomical defects, remove signs of fatigue, and eliminate dissonance when looking in the mirror. However, restoring full-body tone, regaining a youthful gait, pulling back the shoulders, retaining ambitious dreams, and learning once again to carry oneself with pride—that is the fundamental work that every leader of their own life must perform themselves.
